Suinn is professor and head of the department of psychology at Colorado State University, He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Stanford University in 1959. In addition to his teaching activities, Dr. Suinn has worked closely with athletes on many national teams, including the U.S. women’s track and field team, the U.S. marksmanship unit, and the U.S. pentathlon team. He was the team psychologist for the U.S. nordic and biathlon teams to the 1976 Olympic Games, and has been actively involved in several clinics at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers in Squaw Valley and Colorado Springs.
