Bhimayana: Experiences of Untouchability encapsulates the plight and misery of a large section of Hindu community over centuries. The caste-system enshrined in the Hindu psyche simply seems to go away in spite of the concerted efforts of social reformers like Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. It still raises its ugly head from time to time even in the so-called enlightened 21st century. This graphic novel experts incidents from Dr. Ambedkar's life to highlight the social malady through the Pardhan Gond art of Madhya Pradesh. This critical study attempts to explore and analyse this path-breaking effort in order to understand and analyse untouchability in the context of Babasaheb Ambedkar's life and work for the upliftment of his community.
