New periodicals, new subjects, new editors and new ideas have been thrown up by the recent media boom. People to-day are anxious to express what they think and feel about the issues they are confronted with. And, indeed, now is the time for all to contribute towards the search for a solution to the problems that face us. Your ideas may prove to be as useful as the next man’s. This requires a multitude of writers and new stars. I hope beginners in th field will find my venture as useful as my students at the institute imparting training in journalism. By taking heed of these hints and observations, the beginner will save himself many hard knocks in the course of his adventure towards literary success.
